Voice made the first draft; review handled the private data

Simon Willison describes building a blog feature with spoken instructions and checking a local preview. Before bringing in private data, he moved to a review of the proposed code changes and typed corrections. His account shows two different jobs: making a draft easy to start and checking what it will do. It does not prove voice is faster or safer than typing for other projects.

What the source reports

Simon Willison describes using his voice to build a feature for his blog. He could speak instructions and see a local preview. That was useful for getting a first version on screen. The work changed when he needed to bring in private data. He reviewed the proposed code changes and made typed corrections before deployment. The account draws a line between a convenient way to give instructions and a careful way to check a sensitive step. It is one person’s account, not a comparison of voice and typing across many projects. A local preview alone did not settle whether the private import was ready.
