News is being packaged for AI readers
Some publishers now design news for software that reads on behalf of people. WIRED describes an Axios deal feed and ways to query Every’s reporting. It does not measure whether this changes sales or helps readers understand the news.
What the source reports
Kate Taylor reports for WIRED on publishers changing how people reach their work through AI tools. Axios has launched its first deal-content feed for subscriber software; later feeds are plans. Every offers prompts and a reporting database that subscribers can query. These are product examples and interviews. The story does not measure new revenue, whether sources get proper credit, or whether people understand the resulting reports. A reader still needs a way to inspect the original work. The AI Agency digest raises that as a question about access and control, not as a result WIRED tested.
